Commercial, Residential, Agricultural, & Industrial Rainwater Harvesting

Our Water Management Specialists and Engineers in Southern Africa brings a creative design approach to the escalating issue of water conservation and water treatment. We develop innovative solutions for rainwater harvesting systems and water treatment plant design. Our company was one of the first large rainwater harvesting companies in South Africa and our one knowledgeable staff have combined experience of over 25 years in the water business.
BSN Medical in South Africa a multinational company embarked on a global green initiative with the objective of reducing their impact on the environment as well as reducing their operational costs. The Tizagenix water division was selected to design and install a mega rainwater harvesting system at their Pinetown factory in Durban South Africa. The installed system has recovered over 10 million liters of rainwater during the past 12 months.
Coastal cities and towns on the Kwa-Zulu Natal coast of South Africa can derive significant benefit from urban rainwater harvesting. Rainwater harvesting benefits can be derived from three areas: 1. Reduction in water consumption resulting in increased water availability during periods of drought. 2. Storm water attenuation and control, reducing flooding in low lying areas. 3. General water consumption reduction resulting in reduced capital expenditure to supply towns with water.
As part of our services we provide clients with design advice on integrated rainwater harvesting systems when they design a building. Here is an example of a system of a conceptual design review that a client has commissioned our team to do. The house is located within a coastal estate Conceptual rainwater harvesting design report A rainwater harvesting system has been the requirement of the building since conception. A 'green room' has been designed into the residence and is located in the basement level of the building. The size of the room was designed to house up to 5 standard 5000l vertical round water tanks and other rainwater harvesting equipment. Provision has been made to route the storm water from the roofs into this room. Only rainwater falling on the roof will be harvested. This reduces the risk of contamination to the water inside the tanks.
